Alala, the Hawaiian Crow is extinct in the wild. Last we heard, there are 114 birds living in captivity preparing to fly the skies of Hawaii.

It seems that everyone in Hawaii has a tutu (auntie) who has a garden abundant with fruit and flowers. Whenever you go visit someone, you always take something you have in abundance; usually returning home with more than you brought.

We call our current work "Flow Series" inspired by our 2-month artist residency in New Zealand, 2014.
The West side of Hawaii Island has no fresh water streams, therefore, some of the cleanest, clearest coral reefs in the world. We get out to remote dive spots as often as possible. It's such a colorful undersea world, it's hard not to laugh out loud in your mask.
